Safety Guidelines
Herbal tinctures are made using vodka so they will contain alcohol. If you do not wish for you or your child to have alcohol then place the recommended number of drops into hot water, allow to cool and then drink. The alcohol will evaporate, but the tincture will remain effective.
Keep bottles in a cool, dark spot, and out of reach of children.
Do not use tinctures from a herb that you may be allergic to and consult with your healthcare provider prior to use.
Babies
There are many herbs available that are safe to use on babies in small doses. Always use your intuition and when in doubt, rather don't use it. Herbs are still a much better alternative than Western medications, and the risk of side effects is far less, even if a bigger than normal dose is given.
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
Some herbs are not safe to use while pregnant and/or breastfeeding. Please always read the description before purchasing to ascertain whether the tincture is safe to use during pregnancy. If you are unsure please consult with your healthcare provider.
