Fever is not an illness, it is the body's healthy, natural response that helps fight infection, which is a good thing. The body raises the temperature to create an inhospitable environment for the "bugs" that make our kids sick, and which prefer to thrive at normal body temperature.
Most fevers are not dangerous and can be managed at home by keeping the child comfortable, resting, and making sure they are well hydrated. The herbs in this blend are helpful for supporting fevers by promoting perspiration, and providing antiviral support and bodily comfort.
Dosage:
Adults: 2 squeezes (60 drops)
Children 10-12 years: 1 squeeze (30 drops)
Children 5-9 years: 15-24 drops
Children 2-4 years: 10-15 drops
Take 2-3 times daily
Ingredients: Catnip, elderflower, yarrow, feverfew, vodka
Note:
Seek professional help for fevers if:
- your child is under 1 months of age
- your child is under 6 months of age with a 39.7+ degree fever
- your child has a fever of 40+ degrees
- your child is not taking fluids and urinating a normal amount
- the fever is accompanied by stiff neck, persistent vomiting, or severe headache
- your child has severe ear or belly pain
