Hydrogen Peroxide

Hydrogen peroxide is just water with an extra molecule of oxygen and has many uses within the home.

Benefits and uses:

- clean and sanitise kitchen surfaces, cutting boards, and sponges
- use as a fruit and veg wash
- sanitise baby's and children's toys and lunch boxes
- sanitise toothbrushes
- use as an alternative for bleach
- whiten laundry
- clean tiles and grout
- remove stains including wine or blood stains
- get rid of mold
- treat athlete's foot or nail fungus
- use in a humidifier or nebuliser
- treats earache and wax build up
- clean wounds
- use as a general fertilizer and natural pesticide
- use for mielie bugs, and white or black mold
- spray onto the leaves of sick plants
- treats root rot
- after trimming or pruning trees, spray onto cuts to prevent bacterial infections
- soak seeds to disinfect them and to oxygenate them before planting
- disinfect garden implements and tools

Warning:
Never consume 35% food grade hydrogen peroxide in an incorrectly diluted state.
To make 3% hydrogen peroxide from 35% hydrogen peroxide simply add 1 part 35% to 11 parts water.

Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide is one of the purest forms of hydrogen peroxide and does not contain stabilisers, metals, or any additives. Often, the hydrogen peroxide found in pharmacies is not food grade, and may contain stabilisers and metals. These bottles are often labelled as 10 volume, 20 volume etc. Always check the labelling. Unless it specifically says food grade, or if it says for external use only, it may not be food grade. It is safest to use food grade if you considering using hydrogen peroxide to gargle, as a mouthwash, or in humidifiers or nebulisers.
